NATO and Ukraine Prepare Hypersonic Missile Escalation Response to Oreshnik Strike

NATO and Ukraine will hold emergency talks to discuss the response after Russia escalated the war by striking Dnipro with a hypersonic Oreshnik missile, capable of Mach 11 speeds and devastating conventional warhead effects. Russia claims the attack was retaliation for Kyiv's use of U.S. and UK missiles. President Putin emphasized the missile's power and ongoing production, warning it could rival nuclear weapon effects. The strike targeted a key military facility, prompting heightened security and cancellations in Ukraine's parliament.

Poland's PM called the situation "decisive," while Hungary’s Viktor Orbán warned of direct U.S. involvement. Czech officials condemned the attack and pledged air defense support. Meanwhile, Russia intensified drone attacks in Sumy, killing two civilians, as Ukraine braces for further aggression.
